DELSU Joint Canada-Israel Neuroscience and Biopsychiatry Lab Supports Early-Career Nigerians at Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN) 22nd Conference
Attending the 22nd Scientific Conference of the NSN in Enugu was an inspiring experience to the trainees, as it was more than a meeting of scientists. They felt like a community built on shared passion for the brain.

During the conference, Faith B. Friday, participated in the Career Mentorship and Advocacy Program, in which a keynote lecture was given by Prof. Sadiq Yusuf on “Advancing Neuroscience in Nigeria: Bridging the Gap in Research, Innovation, and Clinical Practice”. Together, Faith and Miracle (in the middle) attended the Women in Neuroscience Symposium, which was particularly empowering, highlighting strategies for inclusion and advancement while giving voice to the unique challenges faced by women in science. During this program, Prof. B. Danborno, the President of NSN, spoke on “Neuroscience in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” which showed how rapidly the field is evolving and how Nigeria must position itself within it.
